Lesson 22 : Viivali via [Adjectives of] Lulogooli

In Lulogooli, there are words that often follow or infer to a noun in a sentence. The aim of the word is to describe the noun in various ways.

A sentence case as “Umudoga mumugi guuviti” means “A red car has passed”. The word “mumugi” of structure “mu.mug.i” is a function of “mu.doga”.

Noting the car colour above helps in particularity, perhaps to differentiate from other cars that may have passed. Observe the highlighted "viivaali" in the lesson charts Ileseni 22 series.

As observed in lesson charts, viivaali can describe the outlook, say number, denote possession, refrain,  interrogate and more.

Viivaali should be noted that they take the structure format of starting with a noun class inference plus root word as “ji+vili, i+a, ki+suungu” and more.

Because Viivaali often get used as pronouns in the absence of a direct noun, more viivaali can borrow from lesson 19 of pronouns (visiingilili).

Exercise

  1. In your own words, define what “Kiivaali” is in Lulogooli context.
  2. List down 10 short sentences, underlining the various “Viivaali” you have used.
